Great work, Buddhapi!!

I'm guessing that Dan's the older guy in the middle.
On his wife's profile, it says that she was married in '84.
That was some time ago, logically, that would make him mature, and the other guys are probably their kids.
Can't prove that, of course...

I'm also thinking that Leslie Levine whom has been mentioned might be Dan B. Levines father, as he was admitted to the bar back in 68-69, which makes him a bit older..

this is more than a bone, I can see myself digging to china to get the results I so desire...I'm a man on a mission..By the time i am done Randy G. Taylor, Dan B. Levine and any "douchenozzles" associated with them they will regret ever sending these letters, and with any luck Copyright Defense league can be added to the long list of failed businesses these two have been in..

What I want to know is what can an allegedly "delinquent" attorney do or can't do in New York?  I am guessing they are still an attorney but did not pay their membership fees to the New York State Bar?  Or are they simply not allowed to practice until they pay their fees?

Maybe Oscar can chime in on what a "delinquent" attorney means in a practical sense.

Delinquent Registration

Notice to the Bar

Judiciary Law §468-a requires that every attorney admitted to practice in the State of New York register and pay a $350 fee to the Chief Administrator of the Courts. Attorneys who default in this obligation are subject to the imposition of discipline by the Appellate Division. Office of Court Administration records indicate that several thousand lawyers admitted in or who work in the First Department are currently in default of Judiciary Law §468-a.

The Suspension Lists, which appear below, contain the names, last registered addresses, and oath dates of those attorneys admitted in or who work in the First Department and required to pay the biennial registration fee who were named on the Default Lists and failed to register and pay all outstanding fees, or provide proof of prior registration and payment of such fees, within thirty (30) days of the last date of the published notice. Attorneys whose names appear on the Suspension List, must refrain and desist from the practice of law in any form, are forbidden to appear as attorneys before any court, and are forbidden to give to another an opinion as to the law or its application, effective immediately and until further order of the Court.

Again we don't know that the Dan B Levine who is listed as delinquent on  the Court's Attorney Directory is the same one named in the CDL letters. Delinquent just means you didn't pay your registration dues. While it can be easily corrected it means you are not in good standing.

True, the ELI team is diligently working to solve the mystery, but it was a good question, "Not good standing" can't be a good thing, so we all learned something along the way...

The beatings on Dan B. Levine continues. Read this article where Levine is further "outed" for trying to rally more collection attorneys.

I LOVE IT!

What a complement to Matt as well for his statement regarding how most of us here agree innocent infringement should be handled!

"Chan frames it well:

“I’m a publisher and author and I’ve been infringed on. Know how I handle it? I send an email asking them to stop.”

I love how the author kept Levine's perverse spelling of the word "proverbial" in the quote.

Great exposé on Levine and the other image trolls, and a great public relations score as well. Not to mention good for SEO!
