Copyright COWard Timothy B. Mccormack from McCormack Intellectual Property & Business Law made a new video!! Just when I needed a chuckle!
enjoy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDXLfBfc1FQ&feature=plcp
"expertise"
"value"
"we're experts"
"rip off artist"
just a few of his words..maybe Linda Ellis's powerpoint video wasn't so bad after all!!
and lookie here, he now has a google+ account too..he seems proud of his demand letter scheme as he mentions it in his bio
"Timothy B. McCormack is an accomplished copyright law attorney who does work for Getty Images and other well-known companies. Timothy B. McCormack works in all areas of intellectual property, including copyright demand letters, copyright enforcement, patent litigation, trademark lawsuits, trade secret disputes and copyright infringement matters. "

I love where he is talking about having extra weaponry being brought into the fight at about 1:00 in the video, he shows a battle field and artillery being used, the cannon shown is labeled C.S. for Confederate States, guess he doesn’t realize that once again he’s allied himself with a losing side. :D
-
Ya....."Extra arrows in my quiver". Interesting that he would carry a "quiver" container. LOL... He is armed and ready to deal with all the "pirates".

That whole section and thought process was completely scatterbrained, he starts off by talking about it being like a sword and shield, sometimes being used for defense and sometimes being used for offense. Then he goes from a sword and shield to having extra arrows in his quiver then while talking about his arrows he brings up having extra artillery and showing a canon. I think he might be suffering from a little case of adult ADD which probably lends to the reason why he does not want his phone calls recorded because they would just be all over the place. I could just imagine it going something like “we need to discuss your recent case of copyright infringement of the Getty image, oooohh a seagull just flew by my window. :P

I see everyone has picked up on the whole "offense-defense thing" and the whole weapons thing.
What does that say about ELI's "arsenal" and the ELI "militia"?
Anyone seen the movie "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson? I see the ELI Community as equivalent to the American militia and the Getty clerks and McCormack's staff as part of the Redcoats.
-
I have seen the movie and it's very good and I like that analogy. So if Getty clerks and McCormack staff are the redcoats I guess that would make four billion-dollar Getty England in this fight. ;D
-
This is absolutely correct. You catch my thinking very fast!
We've already had our Boston Tea Party of sorts by rebelling against paying them and speaking out against Getty.
Can we get some graphics of the Redcoats vs. the Militia? ELI (the Militia) are, of course, the underdogs of this fight.
So if Getty clerks and McCormack staff are the redcoats I guess that would make for billion-dollar Getty England in this fight. ;D

Lol'd big time.
I mentioned something about "Generals on ELI or the Lieutenants" not long ago.
So, I'm totally taking credit for this unpaid prestigious military "marketing idea". McCormack, you're frigging welcome.

McCormack's vid reminds me of a mash-up of Tom Cruise's Scientology promo and the spoof "Pre-Crime" ad from the Minority Report movie.
The one where the little kids holler at the end "Get PreCrime!! It works!!".
Well, if it doesn't work (it usually doesn't) you can also pay NCS collections when McCormack fails again.

The capacitors were swelling in my 800-watt computer power supply. I soldered in new ones in today, and I'm good to go.
I have all the time and power in the world to meme and satirize the hell out of this. Not that posting on ELI looked that bad on a 56-inch tv nonetheless.
That's just how I roll.

Well, if the trolls are the redcoats, then it's Bunker Hill Time!

After listening to Timothy B. McCormack's whiny little voice on his goofy and totally phony little interview, I'm literally gasping for air to hear/see a similar self-serving video from his copyright trolling paralegal Ashanti Taylor.
Maybe Tim himself could be the interviewer?
Wow, I may have to write a little script for the interview. I'll even grant them a one time right of use of the script for only $2,349. If they want to pay me in three installments, of course there will be a $350 administrative fee.

Nice work, Peeved! That belongs in The ELI Factor!
-
Peeved, that's an awesome picture not only would that be great for the Eli factor but I think it would make a cool billboard too. I could just see that one posted on a billboard near the Getty building so the trolls would have to see it coming and going each day ;D
-
Aww...THANKS you two!
:-*
-
It's comin'. ;D
In the meantime, here's what it's like to pay "Copyright Cow" lawyer Timothy McCormack a settlement:

-
LOL That certainly captures it!
-
S.G., if I were McCormack, I'd consider the matter settled.
Although it's very funny and poignant, I don't think this will make the cut for "The ELI Factor" — unless Matthew releases a mature-audiences version rated "C" for "cringe".
-
Not sure which matter you're referring to?
My post wasn't intended for use in the "ELI Factor" of course.
Also, my postings don't necessarily "represent" ELI or the opinions of its principals in any case.
S.G.
-
That would be the matter of payment, S.G.
I didn't think you intended this for TEF, I was referring to my comment about how Peeved's image should be included in TEF.
Of course we all post our opinions and they don't represent ELI. That's what makes this forum great. I think the diversity of opinion in the forum is a subject that could also be discussed in TEF. We had Uncle Glen contributing HIS opinion. That was interesting.
I wonder what he's up to these days. We haven't heard much from new HAN letter recipients lately.

That may be a good discussion for TEF, and I agree it's part of what makes ELI great..
as for Glen Carners opinions he was sharing..all I can say is "opinions are like a$$holes, everybody has one and sometimes they stink!"
I know where he's been....he's been up to his ass in lawsuit, if he loses this he may very well go out of business.
-
hahahah gotta love the fact that Linda Ellis has a nice bulge!!! so fitting!
-
Too funny, good laugh to start the day! Thanks Peeved.
-
That video is so generic and contains no worthwhile info, what client would possibly be persuaded to sit through that, never mind actually retain Tim based upon it? I don't even know what to say about that gif posted by SG!
-
uhhhhh, "cringe"?
