Iran's news agency portrays satirical Onion story as its own
Fars News Agency used the story verbatim, giving the same headline: "Gallup Poll: Rural Whites Prefer Ahmadinejad To Obama"
Fars also took all the credit at the get-go:
"TEHRAN (FNA) -- According to the results of a Gallup poll released Monday, the overwhelming majority of rural white Americans said they would rather vote for Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad than US President Barack Obama."

That's funny!
We have had companies in India publish our press releases about our software products as their own. It is crazy and I don't know what they can expect to gain, unless they are capable of delivering, training, and supporting our software.
Much like the FARS News agency, they do not even try to reword anything. Our thought is that maybe they don't understand what we are writing about and fear looking stupid if they moved a few words around.
Google does make it easy though. When we are searching for who might have picked up our press releases, we also find who stole them.

I saw that on the Onion and it cracked me up. I bet it almost fooled a couple of our domestic news outlets.
