As a recipient of a Getty "Extortion" letter (for innocently using 2 small images), I can't tell you how glad I was to find your website and Oscar Michelen's willingness to write a letter on my behalf to Getty. I sincerely appreciate his advocacy with the Letter Writing Program. I also can understand his backlog of work since so many people are making use of his service and your effective website. I asked to be a part of the Letter Writing Program and returned the blank forms Oscar sent, along with my credit card info. My credit card was charged $195 on September 12, 2011, but as yet (almost 4 months later), I've had no acknowledgement and no draft of a letter. I'm am not angry, but I am just wondering why perhaps Oscar couldn't perhaps pay someone from the many who are paying $195, to at least acknowledge the receipt of the fee and the status of my letter, i.e. that it is in queue, or whatever. At it is, I am not sure at all if I am still in a queue, or have been accidentally lost. I've educated myself by reading everything and viewing all the videos, etc. on the website, and I just want to make sure I am part of the program. Keep up the good work!

Have you tried to contact his office or email him? If you have paid for his service, he or his office will reply to your request for an update. You didn't have to wait 4 months. 30 days probably would have been more than sufficient to wait and ask what the status was.

Dear Glen: I am sure that your letter went out, but perhaps we neglected to send it to you. Please send me an email at xxx with the name of the entity that received the Getty letter and I will get right on it to track it down. Sorry for the inconvenience and added stress!
