Why would someone send a cease and desist letter in an email? If that winds up in your spam folder that you never check, what do they do next? Is that when they sue you? Shouldn't legal documents be sent via registered mail where you sign for it so they know you received it? This blows my mind.

Simply because they seek the low hanging fruit, the easy prey, and it saves them time/postage...they're cheap bastards IMHO

The reason why I asked this is due to not having checked my spam mail until very recently and on google, it disappears after 90 days. And I was actually shocked by what winds up in my spam mail. So sending a cease and desist letter by email has totally blown my mind.
