Title: Mitul R. Patel vs. Chan: Bogus Defamation Case Using Fake signature & fake info
Post by: Matthew Chan on August 29, 2016, 02:33:10 AM
I have not had time to formally write about this case that I am involved in. When I do, it will be on Defiantly.net, not here on ELI. However, I figure some ELI readers might be interested since I am involved with this.  Essentially, it is supposedly between Suwanee, GA dentist and me in Columbus, GA. Except that the dentist is claiming he didn't file this Baltimore case, nor did he forge my signature. He claims to be a victim.

It is a crazy case that was designed to be hidden and run under the radar. It is suppose to facilitate the quiet removal of consumer reviews of this sleazy dentist. I only found out about it when Yelp contacted me about it. I am pretty unhappy about this and I will likely file a police report at some point. If the dentist didn't do it, then someone else did.

Anyhow, there have been several stories written so far by various legal bloggers and there are a few more stories to come as the case unfolds. Enjoy this little mystery a few of us are trying to unravel.

The dentist is now getting all sorts of attention with all his bad consumer reviews by a ton of people. He is now being Streisanded because people (like me) are skeptical he is entirely innocent. He is involved somehow, we just don't know to what degree so far.

Our own Buddhapi has done a good bit of digging on our new favorite GA dentist. There is so much to find on this guy.

I filed my Motion to Vacate (with my Affidavit and Exhibits) with the Baltimore Court and they have reopened the case today to review my motion.

It gets even weirder:

Apparently the (different) "pro se plaintiff" had the same awkward phrasing as the plaintiff in Patel v Chan...

The next big wave of research and discovery in this story.

I have to say that I found Lucia's comment on Eugene's blog regarding
Matthew being a "drama magnet" did make me laugh.

Should a company like Yelp tell someone that they are removing a review or comment due to
numerous complaints, it may be a natural response to say to oneself, "whatever" especially if
a lot of time had passed. When Yelp however tells someone that the reason is "because they
received a court order and the court concluded that the comment was defamatory" that is a whole
other ballgame! That said, I also agree with Lucia's "Good for Matt" comment.

The ostensible ( :) ) claim that Patel states to be an unknowing party
regarding the court order, blaming his "reputation management operative"
is definitely interesting as are the facts stated in Levy's blog.

The whole scenario is unbelievable and disgusting in my opinion.
Good on Oscar Michelen, Eugene Volokh, and Paul Alan Levy as well!

The story has expanded because a reputation management firm: Profile Defenders and its owner Richart Ruddie appear to have been exposed. My case is still active and we are waiting for the court's response.

I have created two media & press pages which cover the two branches of this story. One branch (the original one) directly relates to GA Dentist Mitul Patel, the other branch is about Profile Defenders and Richart Ruddie.

I guess I become a drama magnet when dealing with schmucks and sleazebags. I can't really be silent when I see egregious stuff happen.  And here we have a dentist who has been sleazy towards me TWICE! One for trying to fleece me for hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars of dental services if I had let him.  Two for being a snake and trying to remove my Yelp review through a KNOWING use of an out-of-state court order.

Yelp caught Mitul Patel's sorry ass because of his own emails! Yelp seemed suspicious of his request which is why Yelp informed me.

Thanks to him, I plan on writing a "dental scams" blog post.  His latest sleaze tactic is one slippery move too far. I've had all I can stand with sleazy dentists and I am going to do my part to expose their many scams upon unsuspecting patients.  And I will give "Ostensible" Mitul Patel FULL CREDIT for being the snaky dentist who pushed me over the edge.

I am going to find a good image of a snake to go along with mentioning him. "Snakey Mitul" is my new nickname for him.  His name is pronounced "mi-TOOL".  As in "what a fucking TOOL" he is. LOL!

Snakey Mitul sounds a lot like Crooked Hillary.  Are you, perhaps, picking up tactics from what you once thought was the Dark Side?

Just sayin . . .

It didn't occur to me. I think you know I have used colorful names and descriptors for various extortionists over the years. Robert has his favorites "asshat", "douchebag", "turd polish", etc. I tend to use other phrases like "little Timmy", "Scottie", "sagging Linda", "bimbo", "Jackass Jolin", "Masterfail", etc.  I have been referring to Mitul as "snakey" for a while now in all my private emails to the lawyers, although in the private emails I tend to refer to him as "Patel" with the word "snakey" very often. We don't use his first name. But lately, I see his first name, and I focus on the "tool" part of his name. And I know many good "Patel"s so I am hesitant to use that name publicly. Hence, "Mi- TOOL".

And without trying to re-litigate my positions, I never objected to the labeling of political adversaries. It was pretty smart and agreeable to my marketing sensibilities. They are fair game because they are "in the arena".
