I know it's been brought up before but I googled VKT (His Website)  http://www.hawaiianphotos.net/searchresult.aspx?CategoryID=13 to cross reference how many photos of his came up on an another Google image search using 3 words 'Free Hawaiian Wallpapers' & in just a few minutes I found all these variations, all VKT images...watermark removed.

It is HAN that initiates all legal pursuits on behalf of VKT...Given the number of times demand letters were sent on for VKT, one can only presume they must have done a little investigating of their own, only to turn a blind eye.
I actually informed HAN of the 'freewallpapers' site & they said they were doing everything in their power to have the image taken down. It's been almost a year & that photo is still up & vibrantly advertising itself as free.
What would be uncovered if the owners of these websites were somehow divulged? One can only wonder? If either are involved, I'll bet they were smart enough to keep their names off those domain record/s.

I think they are doing a lot more than turning a blind eye...HAN themselves brag about the fact that PS is responsible for 50% of their income...&  exclaiming what a tremendous success it has been to 'catch & spank'. Here's the link again...

Bonus bucks in time for the holiday season...now they are calling instead??? All involving VKT & HAN!!!!!!!  Thanks to ELI...they are finally being exposed in what seems to be a very organised & intricate web-trap  for unsuspecting victims & unknowing innocent infringers. This is entrapment & whoever is seeding the freewallpaper sites whom are associated with VKT & HAN  also need to be exposed. There are probably 100 times more monthly demand letters being handed out than we know of via the same duo whilst they grow their bank accounts...What really gets me the most is that they seem to be going after naive people who would never consider willingly infringing on another artists work. It's a nasty spider web...  These free wallpaper sites are luring people into committing infringement crimes that they would not normally have committed had they known the images were not really free as advertised. I'll bet most settlement demand letter victims have no record of prior crimes.

Have faith in Oscar & Matthew...they are by far the most experienced specialists in this area of anyone out there! Oscar was busy when I hired him but I kept my faith & when he put the gas on - it was done & gone! The best thing I could have done...It is a very upsetting and disturbing experience to be the recipient of the dreaded demand letter...There is an abundance of valuable information on this website and it is the ultimate site for which to educate yourself!!! Hold the fishing line, wait for the infringer of a successful looking commercial website takes a bite, under the false pretence that the image was free to use, as advertised, only to be later slapped by the inevitable pre-stamped settlement demand letter.

Business model = Multiple Free Wallpaper Sites + Multiple Settlement Demand letters

Someone who is hidden behind domain privacy to "seed" the images on free wallpaper sites?

From what I researched before I found ELI...most people are scared and pay...Just 5 successful demand letters per month would generate $ 50,000 at $ 10,000 per image, that is large revenue. Unlike the old days when earnings were a percentage of $10 bucks for 1 photo! One can only imagine how many scared recipients of settlement demand letters have paid without question and who weren't fortunate enough to come across this incredibly informative website before making an educated decision...
