Getty Images Letter Forum / Re: Need help with Masterfile letter
« on: September 23, 2011, 01:00:34 AM »
Sue Oscar for Malpractice. He likes to take money and never do the work! See my other post. Oscar does this to many people. If you can't do the work Oscar, don't advertise it and don't steal other people money. They have enough stress with Stock image companies. They don't need to be scammed by some slimy lawyer! Being busy is not an excuse for negligent representation and theft!

Another advice is not to worry. You will be just fine. Just as hundreds of others that did not pay. Regardless of what you do.

Write your own letters next time. Don't admit to anything. Offer $200 which you will never pay becasue they will never take it. To NCS say that you dispute the claim and will only talk to Masterfile. They can't ruin your credit record. Problem solved. Move on with your business and life. Statute of limitation is 3 years. Nothing will happen. Don't worry. Sleep well. Go to the gym.. workout.. eat vitamins.. travel.. enjoy life.. do your business, make money, be profitable...

Very good letter. Send it to senators in other states as well. Send it everywhere. Some states and senators are simply corrupt and chose not to represent its people. There will be those that will act on it. Send it to the Attorney General as well.

Check istockphoto.com and Pond5.com for similar image that you infringed on. You can get them for $2 there perpetual license. Why should they be demanding for not materially different image hundreds of dollars??? Ask if the image was ever licensed to anyone before at such high cost. The royalty managed concept is a total scam. Their pricing is a scam. Their websites showing the pricing are a scam.

The only places the images are actually sold are on istockphoto.com or similar for $2 per image, otherwise nobody NOBODY!!!! would ever bought them. BIG SCAM! Oscar of course is unable to see it that way or just wants to look the other way as $195 per letter is a good steal! so in 10 years Oscar will make $1mln. Pretty good huh? Did Oscar ever mentioned this to the judge in court?? I doubt that. Did he ask the judge to have Getty or Masterfile show evidence that infringed image was ever licensed to anyone at the advertised cost? I doubt that. Has Oscar ever asked the judge to have the stock image company show where their money comes from? NEVER!

Good advice: look for a lawyer that will ask these questions should you be sued in a very unlikely scenario. Oscar does not ask these questions. He asks users around this froum LOL.

Here is an advice for you. DO NOTHING. SUE OSCAR FOR MALPRACTICE if Masterfile sues you.

There are at least 3 others like you in this forum whose letter was never sent. You should have never hired this man and paid him any money. He sounds unable and only cares about taking your $200 (sales gimmick $195 LOL)

Write your own letters. You can write can't you? Read what he wrote on this site and form an intelligent negotiation strategy. If you are smart you will never pay them anything because they will never accept any of your offers anyway.

Remember that those images you copied from Google, you can buy from iStockPhoto.com or Pond5.com for $2-$3. By the same, I mean not materially different.

Don't be dumb, sacred, intimidated, or PARANOID!. Don't pay them $800 per image. Offer $200, and don’t worry, you will never need to pay that either because they will never accept that offer. It is their loss.

If you wish to respond to NCS, tell the NCS that you dispute the claim and will only discuss the matter with Masterfile. Then tell Masterfile that you will pay $200 per image. You will not go to court. Don't worry. They send thousands of these letters per year. The probability of you going to court is very very small. MOST OF ALL DONT WASTE YOUR NERVES AND TIME ON THIS.

Ignoring everything is also a good option despite what Oscar or few other paranoid people here will tell you. The less attention you draw to yourself the better. There are some people who only made their situation worse by talking to Masterfile. They were dumb enough to admit that they wilfully took their images. Don't do that! Oscar will not bring down the Masterfile cost to less than $800. If you hire him, you run a risk of getting sued if Masterfile ever decides to sue "John Doe" and all those who didn't pay and are represented by Oscar Michelen.

Follow my advice unless you are willing to spend $800 on it. Ask Oscar for a refund since he had never sent a letter for you. This way it will not cost you any money. It is enough that you had to waste your time and nerves on this!

There are thousands like you. Hundreds of them never paid, most of those who never paid never responded.

Now watch all those paranoid people criticize what i wrote LOL.

SHAME!!!

Contrary to what Matthew or Oscar will say. This site is for profit and to make money. $50-100K a year gives $500K-1 mln in 10 yrs. Seeing others complaining that Oscar happily takes their money and never writes the letters and does not even bother to respond when people ask why their letter was never sent out is very disturbing and amounts to fraud and malpractice.

As some wrote in this forum Oscar does sit on a lot of evidence but taking $200 per letter that he never even bothers to send sounds like a good business.

Oh.. saying that $200 per letter Is a small money for Oscar compared to his salary from law practice is not an excuse for negligence and theft.

If you are in a situation with Getty or Masterfile, you are better off writing your own letter and put an offer.  Oscar uses one letter where he puts in your name .. most of his letters must look very similar and therefore lose its significance.  If you were intelligent enough to build your own website or own a business, you can write a letter yourself that will be unique and therefore more powerful. Use all the information they put in this website for their sales gimmick. The information is good. Oscar and Mathew themselves are useless if u try asking them anything. Paying them money seems wasteful.

The only good thing about this site is that it exits and people post here what they think. It will exist as long as Oscar will be receiving $200 per letter from you people. There is no goodwill etc.. etc.. so save it! Make sure you send the letters people paid you for or you will be sued for malpractice.

I cannot imagine having a problem with Getty or Masterfile, paying some Oscar money to send a letter to them and find out later that he never sent it, but happily took my money! What a SCAM! I would never recommend any one to hire Oscar to represent them.

Supposedly Oscar represented in court many Masterfile or Getty victims.. why hasn’t he ever ask them in court to show the judge how much of their revenues comes from extortion and how much from standard licensing. Oscars comes here to this forum and asks users for this information!! This would be one of the first things an intelligent defense attorney would do in court to discredit these companies. I would never hire this man. Yes, you are better off paying more to defend yourself than have someone that will not win your case and only cares about leading you through the court process just to take your money.

I’m sorry, but I don’t really see anything exceptional about Oscar, his practice or experience. I know many people who claim they have 20 years of experience in certain industries.. sitting on a chair, taking salary.. so what? You must be clever and intelligent. That is what counts.. not how many years you sit on a chair performing mediocrely. Find yourself young and smart lawyer who will actually want to put his/her heart and win instead of just taking your money.

It would be interesting to know whether or not SoyletGreen was offered to become part of the “defense team” just as BuddaPi.  We have been watching this website for some time.  SoylentGreen actually has provided a lot of useful information on this website. His participation is second to Oscar Michelen.

Thanks for BuddaPi for his efforts, dedication and time as well.

Matthew is getting lazy and rude too... Oscar does not even write letters he takes money for LOL..

IF YOU HAD NEVER OFFERED SOYLETGREEN TO JOIN YOUR TEAM, SHAME ON YOU!

Soylent has dedicated a lot of his time contributing to this site and has helped many people, he is an integral part of this operation pretty much.
