Letter from Getty - Deadline June 16th

Hi Friends,

We just received a letter from Getty by regular mail exactly similar to the one's others have received. Page 1 & 2 talking about Copyright infringement etc for 6 images. We got our website designed and developed by a third party(offshore) and hence were not sure about the copyrighted images(if any) being used. There was an invoice attached for $5000+ including taxes for the 6 images with a date to respond -June 16th which is today.

Actions taken:
- We immediately brought down the entire website, since we are not sure of the rest of the images as well.
- searched for a pattern for this kind of letter ( that is how we became aware of this great site, thanks for Mr Chan and Mr Oscar for the great work)

What next?
 We have been reading the posts in this site and frankly been educated about the extent of this issue. We are thinking of options available
 - Send a formal email to them saying that
    - we have used a third party to develop our website
    - the images in question have been immediately removed
    - request them to provide copyright ownership information for the images.
   - retain Mr Oscar's services for legal counsel.

Are we on the right track? Appreciate your inputs in this regard.

Just to add to previous post

The letter included a screen shot(s) of the image(s) from our website as well as the image from their catalog and then the standard pages like in the sample letter here advising of various things about how and why despite claims they still need compensation for infringement and damages due to use of the images.
