Our company received the Getty letter today. However, the difference is that the image they allege that we used has never been on our website. All of our images are our own and we have never used a secondary stock photo source. The funny thing is that the screen capture shows a totally different company, but our url is in the address bar. I contacted them and asked for the link which they promptly submitted.
On clicking the link, it takes me directly to the other company, an office supply store in Georgia, (we are a property management company in Washington state), but it has no images on it. In addition, this link also has spam verbage on it in relation to a pharmacutical drug. In the source code, our domain name comes up with many different pharmacutical spam links. Cutting and pasting the links in our address bar, takes us to our normal website.
This is very confusing. It looks like our domain name is being used as a cover for a spammer. Plus the web page of the office supply company is being used, too.
I don't know if anyone has had this particular experience, but I would be interested in finding out how you've handled it.
