What I find amusing in all of this is that in Dagmar Fabricius Twitter link in the post above she is mentioning and providing a link to a copy of Microsoft office available at The Pirate Bay. I recognized the site from the recent posts SG has made in regards to one of the founders of the site being arrested.

It would appear to my eye, that most of Randy Taylors "business ventures" didn't get very far, to me they all look like flops, maybe thats why he decided to give trolling a try..the sites i've looked at from him are .....ummmmm not very good IMHO...i'm still trying to get over the whole recruiting of attorney thing, only a matter of time before we start hearing more about this sleazy practice.

Levine have chosen to step into this ring, and already they are bitching and moaning before the end of the first round??.. As Matthew likes to say, I'm like a dog with a bone, and sometimes I have problems letting go of things..it's part of my obsessive /compulsive make up..with that being said there will be most likely be more exposure for Randy Taylor and Dan B. Levine....

Well we now have a letter from each and every attorney associated with Carolyn Wrights' office ( photoattorney.com), this letter signed by Earl Richardson, is demanding 3250.00 for 1 image on behalf of Corbis Corporation. This letter also accuses the recipient of removing copyright management information, and also of claiming copyright because of the standard copyright notice you see on most sites.

Once again they ask the recipient to provide an accounting of all uses of the photograph.

So one of my clients got a Getty letter in the mail a few weeks ago. I read these forums and a lot of other online information and decided to draft a letter asking for information regarding their copyright, how they came up with the charge of $950+ dollars, etc. and providing comps. Anyway, my client receive a response and the Getty lawyer pretty said, yeah, whatever, im not giving you info cause i believe you got those questions from a blog and it's so expensive due to the cost of pursuing you. Now, I am more worried about my client getting harassed than anything. They are a good client and do not deserve it. I was thinking, what if I sign and indemnity agreement agreeing to pay an settlement that Getty make get over my client? Has anyone done this before? Any thoughts?

If you're concerned for your client ( and Getty will cut you out of the loop and harass them) it might be easiest for you to have your client hire Oscar, and you credit them back, or pay the fee, whichever works for you..this will stop the harassment and probably end it..obviously Getty Images, Lisa Wilmer, and her team of copyright trolls / clerks read our forums.. Regardless of of what it costs them to supply the requested documentation, the burden lies with them to prove their case. I for one would be interested in seeing this response and calling whomever out...my guess it's from copyright troll Douglas Beaker..He apparently reads the forum when he's not hanging out with the Seattles homeless and wine tasting on his back deck.

I have not had time to read thru any of these as of yet, at this point I'm wondering if Randy Taylor's brainchild, Copyright Defense League is the first point of contact, and if they don't succeed in extracting a "settlement" it is then escalated to this California Law firm, who proceeds to file suit. For all we know this law firm may have been one that was "recruited...so just another of the many , many questions I have in regards to this puzzle..

I have scanned over the lawsuits and it looks like they go right for the throat asking for the full $150,000 per infringement plus court and legal fees. We will definitely have to follow these cases and see how they play out. Thank you for sharing these!

Levine a lawyer? in good standing? or is he indeed just another John W. Jolin with a made up title?..Actually I have loads of questions.
