I'm appalled that i just read that post, while sitting in my living room..shame on you!!! using such horrid language..but I digress..I'm fully expecting one of these letters to arrive in my mailbox at any day..and yes I will respond in a fashion only I can muster.

Most of the shit that is being posted is borderline laughable. As you all know I'm a stand-up guy, and don't hide from anything, I'm very transparent and don't hide behind anonymous sites, emails, pages ect.. Any normal person reading these posts would be quick to realize they are all bullshit..Not to mention the factual errors that are included. Trying to twist the fact that I use strong language and graphics to drive home points into that I'm some kind of "woman hater" or pervert is beyond ridiculous.. That would be like me suggesting that Joel Albrizio is like Woody Allen in the fact that he adopted an asain child..which I haven't.. He's attempting to make this personal, all the while I have only harped and wrote about his business practices...It is what is, I'll forge on knowing these trolls hate me for exposing them, and knowing that if even 1 person doesn't fall for their BS tactics and pay up I have done a good deed.

Remember I did not pick Adlife Marketing or Joel Albrizio out of the blue, this was largely his doing, by demanding extortionate amounts for run of the mill images that sold for $20.00...This is disgusting and perverted in its own right.

as they stated, they won't deal with you, they'll pursue the domain owner...chances are good they would not file over a single image..study up and get educated on these forums, before making a decision on how to move forward..

some questions....are you located in either CA or NY? Is the NY lawyer that is sending letters from CA admitted to practice in CA? are you saying you got 2 letters from 2 lawyers over 2 different images?

I think what you need to consider is what is the chance that the photog will file suit over a single image, with the possibility that it may be deemed fair use?..Is he/she willing to shell out the 400.00 filing fee, risk getting a counter suit filed against him/her, and maybe loose at the end of the day?..unless it is an iconic image that may go viral, and become one of those once in a lifetime images, I doubt they would file suit..Just my 2 cents..

Didn't the photog give the rights to the photo buy selling it to the newspaper?  Isn't the blogger protected under the copyright law under "fair use" by using sad photo for news reporting a real event to benefit the community notifying them of a dangerous criminal?

The photogrpaher didn't "Give" anything if he/she sold it to a tabloid, and we don't know the terms of that "sale", so we don't know what rights were transferred, it's highly doubtful that the photographer transferred the copyright ownership to the newspaper.

The blogger may or may not be covered under fair use, it would have to meet the criteria, which is a grey area of the law and open to interpretation by the judge hearing the case.

We had one user a while back do this, only to discover that the photographer was no longer doing business ith Getty ( I thinkit was Getty)..so we had a pissed user how got  a letter and a pissed photographer, who was not making anything from Getty, while Getty continued to chase alleged infringements and sell his work..So yeah nothing to lose, but I would be very careful in what you state to them, as to not incriminate yourself.

I used the the program many years ago, and was successful, getty contacted us one time with a reduced settlement amount of which I refused, and the statute of limitations finally ran out.. granted my situation was different from your, as I did purchase the image in good faith..whereas you did not. I can tell you that well over 1000 people have used the letter program, and to my knowledge no suits have been filed. It is very rare that Getty will file suit over a single image, letter program or not. On the other hand there are no guarantees whether they will or not at any given time.

A "representative"...this could be douche-bag Joel M. Albrizio - President of Adlife Marketing & Communications, Junkyard Dog Douglas Fleurant - Adlife CFO, Trolless Sharon Ferretti - Adlife Vice President or douche-bag in training Brendon Albrizio...allof the above are well aware of whats going on, and are all guilty of association, I suspect others with the Adlife Offices are also aware...Feel free to share any additional names!

Is this in regards to the pizzaria in California by chance? I, lf so I personally called them, and offered a way out, which they kindly denied stating they had it "under control" I doubt my offer to assit would be worth anything at this point, since Joel Albrizio at Adlife Marketing is pretty pissed at me at the moment..

Adlife Marketing has been getting hammered over on copyright-trolls.com almost on a daily basis. I would not give them one red cent, and I would keep trying to contact the person that obtained the image.

you know what? If you have written permission from the photographer to use the image, it doesn't matter if they are different or not, it's a moot point.. Tell NCS to back off as this is a claim, not a debt, and if they don't you will report them to the FTC. Then tell LCS to go piss up a rope, and that you will be invoicing them, and then just let it go...forget about it and ignore them. If they are dumb enough to file suit, they will lose..
