BTW as I learned on this forum, a new decision has come down from the Fourth Circuit that says the exact opposite of Alaska Stock and Chaga. So the decision from the Ninth becomes even more important.

The complaint will help add to the number and get it closer to the point where the AG will investigate Getty.  I can tell you what there response will most likely be.  Look at the last paragraph and it will say that they will continue because you have not raised a valid defense or some such.

The deadlines Getty sends are for the most part designed to panic the person into paying before they have a chance to do any research and learn about Getty's business model.

If you have not resent the documents to the [email protected] then send them there.

You may check where you had your website and make sure there are no backup copies there that Pic-Scout is seeing as well as there are no copies on the Wayback Machine (archive.org).

I know Robert has had this issue with at least one client and he used Oscar's Letter program on the client behalf.  This way your client/family member will not be contacted directly anymore and will have to go through Oscar's office.

The White House vetoed a recommended ban on future imports of older Apple products found to be infringing on Samsung's standard essential patents (SEC).

The way I am reading this they have also ruled that Apple does not even have to cease and desist using Samsung's SEC. This shows one of the major differences between the copyright and patent infringement cases, the patent infringement cases generally will hurt business and the economy so the government is more willing to step in and make decisions even if they leave me scratching my head.

After extensive consultations with the agencies of the Trade Policy Staff Committee and the Trade Policy Review Group, as well as other interested agencies and persons, I have decided to disapprove the USITC’s determination to issue an exclusion order and cease and desist order in this investigation,”

The post about the two identical images occured when my comnputer died and I was waiting for a new one and I must have missed this when catching up after receiving my new one.

I have made a note of this and added it to my information, I find it very interesting as these are definitely the same elephant and Getty is always saying you can't even take part of the image yet we have two different artist listed claiming rights to the same picture.

Oscar if you read this I would like to hear your thoughts please.

On the next letter received from them I would file complaints with the Washington State Attorney General, the Washington State BBB, the Federal Trade Commission, Your Congressman and Senator and if you hear anything from Mr. McCormack the same for him as well as the Washington, Oregon and Idaho State Bar Associations.
